Drug Name Glyset (mihlitol)
Drug UsesGlyset for the treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes, diabetes management and diet alone can not. Glyset may be used only combined with other oral diabetes drugs or insulin.
How to use Followed by diet and exercise program to you by your health care provider. - Glyset with the first port to the main meal, unless otherwise specified by a doctor.

Warnings/Precautions Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:

- If you have allergies to medicines, foods or other substances

- You have long-term (chronic) bowel inflammation, colon ulcers, or stomach or digestive problems, interfere with or absorb nutrients;
- Do you have diabetic ketoacidosis (high ketone) or moderate to severe kidney problems.
Some medical conditions may Glyset. Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following: - Insulin or sulfonylureas (eg hlibenklamid), because side effects may increase Glyset
- Digoxin, propranolol, ranitidine, because they may reduce the effectiveness of Glyset
