Drug Name Celexa (citalopram)
Drug Uses Celexa treatment of depression. It can also be used for other conditions determined by your doctor.
How to use You may notice the improvement of depression from 1 to 4 weeks. Do not miss any doses. - Celexa comes with an extra patient information sheet, called to guide treatment. Please carefully read and reread it each time you fill Celexa.
- Celexa may be taken or without food. Check the dosage on the label instructions exactly.
- If it is necessary to stop Celexa, doctors will have to reduce the dose a few days to a week. Use of Celexa in accordance with the doctor's instructions. Continue to receive drug treatment of depression, in accordance with the provisions of improvement, if any.
Drug Class and MechanismIt helps restore the balance of brain chemicals to increase the supply of serotonin, which helps improve mood. Celexa is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI).
Missed DoseIf you miss a dose of Celexa, skip the missing dose and return to your normal dose of the list. Do not take 2 doses once.
Storage Do not let children. Store at room temperature away from moisture and sunlight.
Warnings/Precautions Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of them attracted to you. Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following:
- Fenfluramine derivatives (eg deksfenfluramina), linezolid, lithium, monoamine oxidase inhibitors (such as fenelzin), H. pylori infection, nefazodon, selehilin, serotonin 5 - hydroxytryptamine receptor agonists (such as sumatryptan) sybutramin , St. John's Wort, or trazodon serious side effects, such a response may include fever, muscle stiffness, blood pressure changes, mental changes, confusion, irritability, agitation, delirium, coma, may occur
- Anticoagulants (eg warfarin), aspirin, or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) (eg, ibuprofen) because the risk of bleeding, including stomach bleeding may increase
- Diuretics (such as furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide) because the risk of low blood sodium levels may increase
- Tramadol because the risk of seizures may increase the H1 antagonist (eg astemizol, terfenadyn) and fenotiazyny (such as chlorpromazine, tiorydazyn), because of serious heart problems, including irregular heartbeat, may occur
- Carbamazepine or tsyproheptadin, because they can reduce the effectiveness of Celexa '
- Klozapin, pimozyd, risperidone, or tricyclic antidepressants (such as amitryptylin), because they may increase the risk of side effects of Celexa
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:
- If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding
- If you have any instructions or sale of drugs, traditional Chinese medicine preparation, or dietary addition
- If you have allergies to medicines, foods or other substances
- If you or your family have a history of bipolar disorder (manic depression), other psychiatric problems or mood problems, suicidal thoughts or attempts, or alcohol or drug abuse
- If you have a history of confiscation, liver disease, severe kidney disease, stomach or intestinal bleeding, or metabolic
- If you are dehydrated, low blood sodium levels, or drink
- If you have a U.S. Eastern Time (EST)
Some drugs can and Celexa.
Some medical conditions may be associated with Celexa. Do not use Celexa, if:
- You are allergic to any ingredients, Celexa;
- You are taking or have taken monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors (such as fenelzin) or hypericin in the past 14 days;
- Do you accept astemizol, pimozyd, deksfenfluramina, fenflyuramyn, fenotiazyny (such as tiorydazyn) sybutramin or terfenadynu.
